1. Try email Website owners with your own voice,or individualized, It receive a lot more attention than copy and paste those pre-made link request template.
2. States the benefits for their blog if you are linking to them and to their visitors.
3. Make sure that your blogs has good quality content that people are going to"stop and stare" ..

8. Always keep track of who you have emailed and their responses.Ask if they have any suggestions.(Again,Don't Spam)
9.Don't suggest a linkback page that has tons of links(like crappy directory) ,it will Scare Away your potential link partner (like me).
10.Don;t ask for the blog that has 99% (if not 100%)different topic to your blog.For example : Make money blog VS make honey blog ..Just stick to relevant niche only.
